Yesterdays birds (May 9)

What a great day!  It was chilly and cloudy again, but great birding!

Two firsts of the years were Orange Crowned Warbler and Blackpoll Warbler.  Then a big surprise, a first for the yard, and for me, a Red-Bellied Woodpecker!

Very bad pic, sorry about that!

We don't get Red-Breasted Nuthatches very much, so that was another great surprise!


At least one Chipping Sparrow, quite conspicuous!




The American Tree Sparrow is still hanging around too.  Getting pretty late!





Still a couple of juncos too, even if they're greatly outnumbered by the White-Throated Sparrows!




This Hairy Woodpecker gave me some interesting poses - I think he was checking out a cat.



Doesn't seem like a whole lot of red on that head!
